Fielding Elementary

We would like to nominate Heather Young, our instructional coach at Fielding Elementary, for Teacher of the Month. Those of us who work with Heather see how much she gives to this school, and we think she deserves to be recognized for it. This year, Heather made sure our Individual Reading Plan meetings got done, and done on time. Those meetings take a lot of coordination, and she showed up for them before school, during the day, and after school so every family and every student got the attention they needed. Whenever a meeting had to be fit in somewhere, Heather found a way. Heather also supports many of us directly. She oversees our paraprofessionals and coaches our provisional teachers, and she does it with patience, practical help, and encouragement. People leave a conversation with Heather feeling more capable and more confident. That support spreads into classrooms across the building. What stands out most is her love for our students. Every decision she makes comes back to what is best for kids. We are so grateful for her hard work, and we are proud to nominate her.
