Abbie Hancock
I am thrilled to nominate our school’s PE teacher for this recognition. She brings an incredible level of energy, creativity, and positivity to our school each and every day. Her lessons are thoughtfully planned and filled with some of the most fun and original games our students have ever experienced. She has a true gift for making physical activity exciting and engaging for every child, regardless of ability level. Students look forward to her classes, and her enthusiasm creates an environment where all students feel confident, included, and successful.
Beyond her outstanding work in physical education, she consistently goes above and beyond to support our school community. She graciously assists our third-grade team with making copies and even steps in to help with language arts groups when needed. Her willingness to support classroom instruction demonstrates her deep commitment to student success across all areas—not just in the gym. She is a true team player who is always ready to lend a helping hand with a positive attitude.
Most importantly, she is exceptional with students. She builds strong relationships rooted in encouragement, kindness, and high expectations. Students respect her, trust her, and feel genuinely valued in her presence. She models sportsmanship, perseverance, and positivity in a way that leaves a lasting impact.
Our school is better because of her dedication, creativity, and heart for children. She exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding educator, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this nomination.
